A Projector That Won’t Keep You Tied To One Place
Portable projectors are just that – portable. You can pack them up and take them with you or you can move them from room to room in your home or office. When you are ready to purchase a portable projector, you are going to have a huge variety to choose from. Almost every company that sells projectors offers a portable version. Portable projectors come in many shapes and sizes – and can be found in a wide price range. Portable projectors make setting up your home theater easy – and you can even move your home theater to the back yard on those warm summer nights! Imagine watching your favorite DVD or watching your kids play their favorite games in life-sized versions on the wall while you slave over a hot grill! Portable projectors are one way to get your kids outside again – even if it is at night. Manufacturers did not leave out the educators – there are now portable overhead projectors that make life just a little easier on teachers – as if! No more bulky overhead projectors that weigh a ton and are hard to set up. Just take out your portable overhead projector, set it up on the nearest desk, and off you go! One manufacturer even offers a portable miniature projector – a projector that is small enough to fit in your pocket! And several companies are now working on turning Ipods and cell phones into projectors. Soon, we will have one miniature, hand-held gadget that will do everything! Portable Accessories For Your Portable Projector Of course, you will need accessories for your portable projector – and these accessories are also portable. Soon, we may lose our ability to think and do for ourselves with companies making everything so easy for us! Not really, but it’s a thought. The first thing you need is a portable table for your projector. You can pay around $150 for one that is specially made for your projector – or just run to the dollar store on the corner and purchase a small table for around $10. Either way, you can easily move your table from room to room! If you don’t want to take up too much space with a table, you can purchase a portable projector stand. And, as if you have not made enough choices already, you have several types of stands to choose from – rolling stands, folding stands, stand with seats, and there is even one that looks awfully close to an ironing board. I think I have one of those somewhere that hasn’t been used in a while – I can just pull it out and save myself $55! And, of course, we can’t leave out the portable tripod stand for your projector. Some models are adjustable up to seven feet so that you get your projector in the perfect position! Last, but not least, is the portable projector screen. I’m sure you remember those from your classroom – your teacher either had the kind that he pulled down from the ceiling or the kind with a tripod base that the class clown could knock over at just the right moment – you know just when you were about to learn something! Or, you can do what I would do – either hang a white sheet from the wall or aim your projector at a bare white wall. Either way works! For years, we have been going portable – portable jacks and portable air compressors for your car, portable phones so that you can walk from room to room with missing a conversation, portable wireless phones so that you can even talk to your friends when you are not at home – and now, the portable home theater enjoyed with popcorn popped in the portable popcorn maker!
