Lights In The Sky And On The Screen
Laser light shows have been a popular attraction for years at placed like Disney World and other amusement parks. What a thrill to see images flash across the sky as laser lights come together to make animals and people dance across the stars! Not only are lasers used to light up the sky, but lasers are used in many small electronic devices as well. My husband has a red laser pointer and he loves to wait until I am involved in something on the computer and start shining his little red light – he thinks it is hilarious when I jump! Lasers can be loads of fun, but what are lasers? Although laser seems to be a word, it is actually an acronym – Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation – an optical source that emits photons in a coherent beam. For many years, engineers have dreamed of using lasers to produce images onscreen with a laser projector, but the cost of this makes it impractical – and so, lasers have been used in laser light shows all over the world. Laser projectors are so expensive that rather than purchase the projector, many towns and businesses hire companies that specialize in laser shows. Purchasers of laser projectors can find the latest innovative laser projectors by attending laser projector road shows –where inventors show off the latest in laser projectors. One thing that makes laser shows possible are full color, polarized laser projectors. And, then someone found a way to bring the laser show home! For around $200, you can fill any dark room with a wondrous star spectacle with the Laser Star Projector. Whatever happened to moonlit walks to see real stars? Not quite as expensive – but, probably not as much fun either! For those who want to create their own personal laser show without breaking the bank, there is the Fireball Laser Projector that can be purchased at Spencer’s Décor for around $20. This small laser that looks like a fireball looks cute when turned off and will amaze your friends with your own laser show when turned on! The Fireball Laser Projector can be mounted on the wall or left on the table for hours of laser fun! So, while most laser shows are too expensive for mere mortals to own – there are a few small-scale projectors that can bring the laser show home!
