Hard To Find
Optima is a small company based in Australia. Optima is traded publicly in the Australian Stock Exchange and is the largest PC provider for Australia. Optima is a fairly new company – established in 1989. The company has managed to make a name for itself in its home country and that is a start. As more and more projectors are sold internationally, Optima may become one of the brands that people recognize and trust – only time will give us the answer. I only found one Optima projector on their website – the Optima XGA Data Projector, priced at around 1600.00. This Optima projector is video, audio, and game console compatible. This price is comparable to projectors offered by other companies in this price range. Reading reviews, which is an important way to learn what actual customers think of a product, shows that the quality of the product is comparable to other projectors in the same price range – so, maybe this company will become internationally known in years to come. With a little research, Optima projectors could be found from other resources. However, I do not know if this company manufactures these or if Optima is the name of a line of projectors manufactured by another company. When searching for cheap Optima projectors, I became a little confused. Most of the searches led me to Optoma – another projector company who has released the Optima HD70. However, my search for discount Optima projectors led me to NexTag, a site that features quite a few Optima projectors ranging in price from around $1300 to $3600. When conducting a search for wholesale Optima projectors, I came up with the same results, which leads me to believe that Optima is a series of computers by Optoma. Overall, the search for the Optima projector was very confusing and the best Optima projector that I found was hard to find and not one that just pops up in a search. My personal opinion is that there are too many reputable companies with a lot more to offer than Optima, and if the purchasing process is as hard and confusing as the search process, I would just rather go with a company that I know and trust. However, I do believe that new companies deserve a shot – if Optima could make the search and purchase easier for consumers, I am sure they would benefit from it. Of course, if you are in Australia, the Optima projector may be the choice that is most beneficial to you. After all, Optima has a reputation in the local business world and I am sure you could get your home theater set up quickly and easily.
