Cables, Cables, Everywhere!
Have you ever walked through someone’s home and wondered where all of those black, snaky cables that are all over the place may lead? Maybe you have even walked through your own home and wondered the same thing. Sometimes, it seems like everything has a cable attached and that cable is attached to something else. Some people may wonder if their kids are attached to cables – well, we can dream, can’t we? As with most electronics, your projector will come equipped with cables – and more holes in which to connect more cables. After all, we need to keep everything connected – and for the best home theater, we will want everything connected that we can get connected. To cover everyone in the family, you will need to connect the game consoles, the DVD player or the VCR, the computer, the cable or satellite. And, each new thing you connect must have a cable. Some projector cables come packaged with the projector, but some will need to be purchased separately. If you want your computer to be a part of your home theater system, you will need a computer to projector cable – these usually have to be purchased separately, as will some of the other cables. Usually, the only cables that come with the projector are just the basic setup cables – and even with these, you may need to purchase longer cables, depending on the setup you have. Finding the best projector cable is pretty easy to do – you will need to know what you need the cable for (computer to projector, satellite to projector, etc…) and you will need to know the length your cable needs to be. Projector cables can be purchased at many camera stores and electronic stores – and even department stores that have electronic departments. And, of course, there are many resellers if projector cables on the Internet. It is easy to find a cheap projector cable, so this does not necessarily have to be a huge expense. Something that you can do to avoid having cables spread out everywhere and getting tangled up is to purchase cable ties. These are very inexpensive and come in a variety of colors, allowing you to be creative while organizing your projector cables. So, find you projector cables, get everything set up in your home theater, and prepare for some fun. Oh – and when you jump up in that dark room because someone forgot to bring the salt for the popcorn, be sure not to trip on all those cables!
