Time To Change The Bulb
Just like the bulbs you use in your light sockets at home, projector bulbs also need to be changed. The signs are usually a little less subtle than the blowing of a bulb when you try to turn on your overhead light in your kitchen. You don’t get the sudden “blowing” with a projector bulb that you do with a regular bulb. So, how do I tell if my projector bulb needs to be changed? A projector bulb, just like any other bulb, has a lamp life – which is the number of hours that you can expect to use your bulb. Most projector lamps have a lamp life of around 2000 hours, although some of the newest models project the lamp life to be around 4000 hours. There are things you can do in order to get the most life from your projector lamp. The projector bulb lamp life is based on a few certain things – how long you use your projector at one time and how dusty the area around your projector is are two of the indicators of how long the lamp life will be. As with most appliances, taking proper care of your projector bulb will ensure that you get the most out of your bulb. Be sure to use your projector for short periods of time – don’t have twenty-four hour non-stop marathons of your favorite movies. Also, be sure to keep the room that your projector is in as dust-free as possible – overheating and dust can be your projector bulb’s worst nightmare. Bulbs There are many types of bulbs to choose from – your owner’s manual will list the type you need for your projector. Most places that sell bulbs have a variety to choose from – data projector bulbs, slide projector bulbs, video projector bulbs, overhead projector bulbs, movie projector bulbs, and DSW projector bulbs to name a few. For each type of projector bulb, there is also a manufacturer – so, you have many options when looking for a projector bulb. Projector bulbs are one of those parts that can be ordered from the manufacturer of your projector or from one of the many discount resellers on the Internet. With so many choices, it is easy to find a cheap projector bulb. But, one thing to watch out for is making sure you find an inexpensive video projector bulb – and not a cheap-made bulb. Keep those projector lights burning bright!
