You Never Know What Is On The Inside
…and you probably never think much about it. All you know is that you want to plug in your projector, pop in your favorite DVD, sit back and enjoy! Most people never even think about all of the parts inside that small package that is their projector – until it doesn’t work properly and you have to think about replacing one of those parts! Parts Of An Overhead Projector Some parts, though, you will need to become familiar with in order to correctly operate your projector. Especially the parts of an overhead projector, which is usually not a set-and-forget-it projector, but one that must be attended to during a presentation. The basic parts of an overhead projector are: Power On/Off – a self-explanatory part used to turn the unit on or off. Lamp Access Latch – unlatches to give you access to the lamp for any adjustments. Stage- the stage is where you place your presentation to be projected onto the screen. Host – the host is an arm that is connected to the base of the projector to hold the lens. Focus Knob – the knob used to adjust the image that is being viewed. Head – the head is the part that holds the lens. Lens – the part that projects the image onto the screen. Taking the time to read your owner’s manual and becoming familiar with the overhead projector parts can save you time and possible embarrassment when you need to use the projector in front of a crowd. If you want to use a 8mm, you will also need to become familiar with 8mm projector parts. But, don’t worry – if you bought a used or vintage 8mm projector, there is still help for you. Do a quick search on the Internet and you will find user manuals for many different models of 8mm projectors. Where To Find Projector Parts There are many places to find projector parts – your local camera or electronics store will offer some parts. And, the Internet is full of places that sell wholesale projector parts to the public. Even if you can’t buy wholesale, you can still find the best projector parts cheap by purchasing from resellers who buy in bulk in order to pass the savings on to the consumer. So, don’t despair if one of those parts needs to be replaced – a little research will help you to finally understand the parts that all work together to get that image from a DVD to a big screen in your home!
